I'm sitting outside Quest diagnostics waiting for them to come back from lunch so I can have some blood work done and get back to my job, and this FUCKING PIANO BLACK TRIM ON MY DASH IS REFLECTING THE SUN INTO MY EYEBALLS!!

I first realized how incredibly stupid piano black dash trim is when my father bought his 2007 Fusion. "Oh, this will be easy to keep clean" I told him, sarcastically. Little did I know that 7 years later I'd buy my own car with that evil plastic. Not only does it collect finger prints and dust like that's its fucking job, but it's susceptible to scratches when you try to wipe it clean of said finger prints and dust. And as if looking at a dusty, smudged, and scratched Steinway impersonating plastic wasn't bad enough, it's also very reflective. So if you're parked with your back to the sun at just the right angle you'll get your eyes bathed by the Sun's 100% healthy and not at all annoying rays. I seem to have found just the right angle.

I think I'll tweet at Chrysler every hour, on the hour until they give me some of that aluminum looking dash trim from the Charger custom fit for my car.

That's funny I was just looking at the land rover site and the LR4 has the option for piano black trim or wood and i thought....who would choose piano black? No one, that's who!

I wish Dodge offered different materials for this. I suppose they went with the black to accentuate the red accent lights around the edge of the trim piece.

Piano black, and CHROME EMBLEMS ON THE HORN!

Those reflect so much sun in my eyes too. Much hate.

I have Piano Black trim on my RR Sport. My only complaint is that it shows all the dust you could imagine... OCD nightmare.

I'm pretty OCD so it drives me crazy.

My 300S has this to my chagrin. My mom has the same complaints about the trim in her Dart too. I am fanatic about clean interiors and that trim is enough to make me come completely undone in 2.5 seconds when I see a fingerprint or dust collection.

Fortunately I've been driving alot at night so I haven't noticed these issues as much.

Lol, you could try using some 600 grit sandpaper on the chrome pieces. May turn out looking like ass, but it also may give you that brushed aluminum look. Also there is Plasti-Dip that would actually work great. Seriously. Try it, it'll work wonders.

You have a nice car. I've never sat in a Dart before or seen the inside of one, looks good!
